South County Jazz & Blues Wave Series: Demystifying Jazz

The ability of jazz musicians to spontaneously compose complex music on the fly has fascinated audiences since the early 20th century. Now, the University of Rhode Island Faculty Jazz Quartet and special guests take the mystery out of this unique style with a fun and exploratory performance. Head of Jazz Studies Jared Sims leads the group featuring Dave Zinno on acoustic bass, Marty Richards on drums and Paul Nage on piano.
